Stackin' Stylez Colorado
In collaboration with Block Party 2018, Bostons Biggest Freestyle Concepts battle is making its way to Colorado this summer!
What is Stackin' Stylez?
Stackin' Stylez originated as a dance curriculum to provide a frame work for dancers of all backgrounds to expand their vocabulary in freestyle dance. The curriculum picks apart applications of Freestyle dance to explore and highlight them separately before putting them back together in different ways to create a vast amount of variations. (Catch the workshop during International week at the Block 1750)
The Battle
Inspired by Book of Styles (DC), Jack of All Trades (MTL), and The Blvckout events (TO), Concepts & music genres will be selected at random and applied to each round. You will have to mold what ever style it is that you do the framework/structure of the concept(s). Who ever excels in the execution of the given concept(s) will move forward each round.

Top 16 | 1 Round
Top 8 | 2 to loose (Reverse 7 to smoke)
Finals | 3 Rounds (2 Concepts per round)

Cash Prize
Winner will receive $100 plus a StackMyStyle Package for Stackin Stylez II | Freestyle Dance Culture Event 2018 in Boston the weekend of September 15th. The package includes free access to the event, all 6 workshops, the panel discussion and the after parties. Package is only redeemable by the winner and cannot be transfered to another person.
